This map was published in Cotton Mather's 1702 book Magnalia Christi Americana, an interseting account of colonial New England history that includes passages on the Indian wars. It shows the locations of many locations known to have been Indian communities, including Wamesick [Wemesit], Nipnak [Nipmuk] Country, Squabaug [Quabug], and Squakheag [Squakeag].
